Business Insurance:Malaysia—The Islamic Financial Services Board has released a draft of its “Guiding Principles on Governance for Islamic Insurance Operations” for public consultation.
The IFSB will hold a hearing and two workshops to consider public input on the document that aims to address the specifics of governance with regard to takaful insurance, while complementing other international governance standards, the Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based board said in a statement.
The public also will be able to comment on two other draft documents: “Conduct of Business for Institutions offering Islamic Financial Services” and “Guiding Principles on Shari`ah Governance System...Continue Reading
