Halal food has become a $2.1 trillion industry due to the increasing demand for halal products from 1.8 billion Muslims around the world as well as some non-Muslims, reported Gulf News. The halal market is getting a boost as because increasing oil wealth is translating into more meals consumed. In addition, the non-Muslim population in Europe is declining and Muslim population is growing globally at a fast rate.
