Malaysia lauds RP’s efforts to promote Halal

Muslims from foreign countries praised the Philippines government’s efforts to promote production and availability of halal food in local resorts and other tourism –related establishments in the country.

Tourism Secretary Joseph Ace Durano said Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad lauded the Philippine’s halal advocacy and awareness programs during the recently held 3rd World Halal Forum (WHF).

"After sharing our advocacy and awareness programs for the Philippine tourism industry, we were especially congratulated by Malaysia Prime Minister Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi,” Durano said. --
