Reuters - Malaysia's Asian Finance Bank and AmanahRaya Investment Bank plan to launch a 1 billion ringgit ($307 million) Islamic shipping fund next week.
The shariah-compliant fund would be launched on June 24, according to an invitation sent to the media.
It did not give further details.
Unlisted Asian Finance Bank is one of three foreign Islamic banks operating in Malaysia and are backed by a consortium of Middle Eastern financial institutions.
AmanahRaya is one of Malaysia's leading trustee companies.
