Al-Huda will organise a 2-day training workshop on Islamic Micro-finance in Islamabad on March 7 and 8. The will provide update knowledge and introduce latest trend about the subject to Micro-finance and SME sectors, Al-Huda said in a statement.
It is widely accepted that Islamic Finance is one of the fastest growing areas of International Finance. Al-Huda CIBE is working for the promotion, awareness and educational training for Islamic Finance, it said.
Listing key issues to be discussed include principals of SME and Micro-finance Basics of Islamic Micro-finance, Islamic SME and Micro-finance - Outreach and Sustainability, Product Development-The Micro-finance and SME Perspective".
Fund mobilisation and mode of financing in IMF, and role of Zakah and Auqaf in Islamic Micro-finance institutions. Speakers will also talk about the introduction and brief perspective of Islamic Finance in Pakistan, SBP initiative for development of Islamic finance in Pakistan, DM as Islamic Micro-finance Housing (IMH) Products. Other topics are Bai Salam and Istisna MicroTakaful Case Study - Akhuwat Interest Free Loaning Mechanism in Microfinance.
Those who will speak include Muhammad Khaleequzzaman, Head Department of Islamic Banking International Islamic University, Islamabad, Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib, Executive Director - Akhuwat and Dr Nasim Shah Shirazi Director IIIE.
