BNP Paribas Securities Services was covering the region from London till December 2007. The increasing complexity of servicing and the needs of international investors within the region has resulted in creating a team based in the Gulf in order to be closer to the client and resulting in a more efficient service model.
The move of BNP Paribas Securities Services to the G.C.C. will reinforce the Group presence in the region and emphasize its strong commitment to the Gulf.
Based in Bahrain, Graeme McCallum and Asif Beg will be responsible for nurturing existing and developing new client relationships within the region.
Graeme joins the Bank from HSBC London and brings 20 years of industry experience gained with Chase Manhattan, Bankers Trust Company and Deutsche Bank, with 14 years of client coverage within the Middle-East. Asif was transferred from BNP Paribas Securities Services Luxembourg, having previously worked for both Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase's securities services divisions again encompassing a 20 year period.
